America’s Next Top Model prides itself on shaking up the fashion world.
In the past the show has featured twins, plus sizes and girls with disabilities.
But as it returns for its 11th season it is set to push the boundaries of conventional beauty once again by featuring the first ever transsexual contestant.

The reality show headed by ex-model Tyra Banks features 14 girls competing to win a lucrative modelling contract.
This year the hopefuls will include 22-year-old transgender Isis among its contestants.
The transsexual beauty was discovered on the last series of the show in when she appeared in a homeless photo shoot.

The former non-profit worker from Prince George’s County, Maryland, identified herself as ‘a woman born physically male,’ in an interview with US Weekly.
She said: ‘My cards were dealt differently.’
Asked if she wanted to be a role model for others, she replied: ‘I like to help people, but I’m here to follow my dreams.’.

Jerry Hall showed off a trim, toned figure in a colourful bikini
As any model worth her designer bikini knows, there’s no such thing as a bad photo – only a bad angle.
So Jerry Hall, firmly putting the memory of that unflattering one-piece swimsuit shot behind her, strode out confidently on the beach in St Tropez this week.
The 52-year-old model and actress showed off a trim, toned figure in a colourful bikini that emphasised her enviable curves.

Perhaps she had been inspired by the widespread admiration for the red bikini that Oscar-winning actress Helen Mirren, 63, wore recently on an Italian beach.
Or perhaps she was just enjoying her newly-trim figure, said to be the result of a Mediterranean diet and plenty of exercise in the sun.
It was way back in 2001 that the one-piece swimsuit she was wearing in St Tropez suggested that even models succumb to the bane of cellulite.

At the time, Miss Hall insisted the dimpling on her legs was a trick of the light and subsequently appeared in a different swimsuit to show off her figure.
Then just six weeks ago, at the start of her break on the French Riviera, the Texas-born model was pictured boarding a friend’s yacht outside the Club 55 beach restaurant.
And unfortunately for her, it seemed she’d brought her cellulite along for the ride as well.

In her latest beach pose however, the lady whose leggy look enchanted ex-husband Mick Jagger for more than 20 years looked as smooth and sleek as ever.
Miss Hall has four children by Jagger. Two of them, Elizabeth and Georgia May, are also models. The family live in a mansion on Richmond Hill in South-West London.
Jagger and his long-term girlfriend L’Wren Scott are renovating an equally grand home in Chelsea which he bought for £8.7million two years ago.
While Miss Hall appeared to be enjoying a solo holiday in France, Jagger has taken Miss Scott to the Caribbean island of Mustique where he owns an estate called Stargroves.

Katie Price may have flown to Los Angeles for corrective breast reduction surgery, but it appears she may have had an extra procedure thrown in.
The former glamour model unveiled a significantly enhanced pout as she shopped in Los Angeles following her release from hospital.
And the celebrity appeared to be smiling as she was seen out and about in Los Angeles, although with such swollen lips it was somewhat hard to tell.

Make-up free and dressed in a baggy grey t-shirt, shorts and huge shades, Jordan looked relaxed as she trawled around stores Fred Segal and Kitson, emerging with bagfuls of booty.
Perhaps she was stocking up on new clothes for her newly re-sculpted figure.
The mother-of-three who made her name as glamour girl Jordan, went under the knife again to repair a ‘botched’ boob job, as she wanted to make them ‘smaller and perkier’.

Last year she went under the knife to drop down from a 32G to a 32C.
But Katie revealed in February that the reduction surgery had failed, taking her down to 32F instead.
At the time she said: ‘I was disappointed because they looked big and I wanted them to be a lot smaller.
‘They hang too low when I’m standing up. I’ve also got indents so you can see where the implant is sitting.’
Katie’s trip comes as the 30-year-old has been talking about her plans to adopt another child with husband Peter Andre.
She already has two children with 35-year-old Andre: Junior, three and Princess Tiaamii, one.
The couple are also bringing up Harvey, the autistic and partially blind six-year-old son of Jordan and footballer Dwight Yorke.
‘I think about it every day, but not yet. We’re going to go over soon, (to Bulgaria) and I want to take a load of toys to help stimulate them and give them some love.’ she told OK! Magazine.
