The first edition of Berlin Fashion Film Festival will take place in July during Berlin Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013. The official screening will take place on July 3, 2012, between 7pm and 11pm at SHOW & ORDER, presented by Showroom Days. A selection of fashion films, curated by Vogue.it, Esmod Berlin, Sugarhigh, FIER management, and Furore, and additionally selected through an online open call (until today) will be screened and awarded according to different categories.
The categories are assessed by an international jury, which includes Diane Pernet for Best Fashion Film, Yann Le Goec for Best Fashion, Johan Renck for Best Cinematography, Till Diestel for Best Idea, and Oliver Kolletzki for Best Music. Additional categories include Best Esmod Production, assessed via a joint vote and awarded with a Lomokino Camera and a six month sales space at Konzept86, and Best Lomokino Production, whose winner will be released on June 27, 2012.

Nicolas Müller is one of the best snowboarders in the world, noted for his smooth style, his ability to ride different terrains and adjusting his riding to the terrain. The Swiss born was awarded the Snowboarder’s Rider of the Year distinction in 2006 and 2008, runs his own clothing line Atreebutes and amongst others participated in films by Absinthe, Burton, Brainfarm, Nike and others. The Swiss has since used his notoriety to establish a platform for speaking out on sustainability issues – from climate change to personal consumption, his commitment and influence goes deep.
Los Angeles based Circe Wallace has been Nicolas Müllers agent for many years. Nicolas calls her »my guardian angel who enabled me to do whatever I wanted.« She was a strong female presence in early snowboarding and significantly contributed to the definition of athletes in action sports, while at the same time helping push the boundaries of professional women in the industry. As senior vice president of Wasserman Media Group Circe takes care of the careers of talents such as P-Rod, Travis Rice or Torah Bright and furthermore is an accomplished producer of TV, film and branded content.
For THE AVANT/GARDE DIARIES Circe Wallace met Nicolas Müller in his picturesque hometown Laax in Switzerland. The two went snowboarding and spoke about taking risks and the need in recognizing chances.
