Myleene Klass turned heads today as she arrived to christen a giant cruise liner at its ‘coming-out party’ in Dover.
The 30-year-old – who was named the ship’s ‘godmother’ last month – showed off her stunning figure in a floating red dress as she prepared for the ceremony where she will smash a bottle against the hull of the superliner Carnival Splendor.

‘I am very excited and a little nervous at becoming a “ship’s godmother” for the first time,’ said the former Hear’say star.

‘But my family is very connected with ships as my father served in the Merchant Navy.’
At 113,000 tons and carrying up to 3,710 passengers, Carnival Splendor will be the largest passenger ship ever to sail from the port.
It boasts four swimming pools, a 5,500sq ft children’s play area and 22 lounges and bars.

Red hot: Myleene – who recently revealed that she is finally planning to marry her long-term fiance Graham – said that she was excite about becoming the ship’s ‘godmother’.

Klass revealed last month that she is finally set to wed long-term love Graham Quinn – father of her nine-month-old daughter Ava – after being engaged since 2006.
‘It will definitely be within the next 12 months,’ she said in a recent interview.
‘We’ve talked about it, but we haven’t got round to doing it.
‘It’s not about being lazy – it’s just the baby came before the wedding.
‘It’s just a different order, but it’s the same result.’

The former Hear’ Say star had given birth to baby daughter Ava just three months before the Marks & Spencer shoot and felt sick with insecurity over her figure.
The 30-year-old revealed: “I’m only 5ft 5ins and I had a bit of a tummy. I felt small and podgy.”.

To make matters worse, the new mum was on location with super-skinny models Erin O’Connor and Twiggy.
And when the stylists gave her a bikini to put on, Myleene confesses she felt “physically sick”.
She said: “I said to them ‘You do realize I just had a baby three months ago?’
“It was really difficult for me to overcome my issues so soon after giving birth.”
Having put on four stone during the pregnancy, the classically-trained pianist was feeling decidedly heavier than her usual nine stone.

And after slimming down to a svelte eight stone after her stint in the jungle on I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!, Myleene was feeling especially self-conscious about her extra pounds.
But looking back on the experience, she told The People: “I’ve realized M&S picked me because I’m not a model, I’m a real woman with curves.
“I’ve got stretch marks, and I wobble in different places now – but it’s just like war wounds and I wear them with pride.”
Myleene has admitted her transition to motherhood has been anything but plain sailing.

She says she felt let down by the NHS after a shortage of midwives meant she had to wait nine days for a home visit after her daughter’s birth.
The star felt “isolated and lonely” afterwards and even considered leaving her fiancé Graham Quinn.
Happily though, the pair seem to have come through the experience and are even considering adding to their family.
Myleene said: “If you had asked me a few months ago, I’d have said no way any more kids.
“But nature has a way of making you forget. I’m broody again…”

Myleene Klass was a vision in virginal white as she joined the team of celebrity judges at the Miss Ireland 2008 final.

Modest Klass – who stars in a series of Marks and Spencer’s adverts alongside Twiggy and models Erin O’Connor, Noemie Lenoir, Elizabeth Jagger and Laura Bailey – recently admitted that she felt out of place in the star-studded line-up.
‘I don’t think I have the right to stand next to Twiggy, who’ll be recognised as an icon when we’re all dead and gone.
‘And there I am, Myleene Klass from Norfolk, distinctly average at everything. Oh, come on.

‘No, that’s not false modesty. I don’t excel at one thing. I just get away with a lot,’ she said in an interview with The Times.
She also admits that she doesn’t take her success for granted and is very aware that things could have turned out differently.
‘I know one girl who was in a pop band, who’s now walking dogs,’ she says.
‘And another who is now a receptionist in a hotel. Every time I moan about my life, I think about them.
‘I’m mediocre. I know I am. I’m 5ft 5in, and short in the leg. And I only practised music six hours a day.
‘From every perspective, I think I should take my chances – because I know how hard everyone else is working to get there,” she says.

Carnival president Gerry Cahill said: ‘Myleene is the perfect godmother to name Carnival Splendor.’
She will dispense with traditional Champagne and instead use English sparkling wine. The ship will immediately set sail for a three-day mini preview cruise to Amsterdam.

But the curvy star’s love handles were considered surplus to requirements by M&S, who erased them in the newly released photos for their summer swimwear advertising campaign.
Just five months after she gave birth, Myleene was back at work on a South African beach posing in a sunny yellow bikini.

And although she looked in pretty amazing shape for a new mother, as these pictures show, the 29-year-old television presenter was given the Photoshop treatment to trim her curvy love handles.
The results can clearly be seen in the newly released promotional shot of the stunning classical artist, which shows a very sleek-figured Myleene, with very trim hips.
However, in the un-retouched photo, her curvy love handles can be seen slightly overhanging her bikini bottoms.

Myleene, who gave birth to baby Ava last August, showed off her trim figure as she modelled on the beach on South Africa, for Marks & Spencer’s summer swimwear campaign.

But the former I’m A Celebrity contestant, who turns 30 in April, has insisted she would never succumb to the fashion industry’s size zero obsession.
She said recently: “Here I am surrounded by these models who are six foot two and they’ve got perfect bodies, but then I’m thinking, well, my role here is to be me.
“When M&S signed me up, they knew that I’m only five foot five and a half and not a size zero.
“I’m certainly not a supermodel, like Twiggy or Erin O’Connor.”
But since then, she appears to have lost even more weight, as she showed off a very slim figure at the Mayfair Personality of the Year Awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel earlier this month.
Myleene’s ultra-slim appearance prompted onlookers to wonder where her famous curves had disappeared to.
The star has put her rapid weight loss down to her hectic schedule and the demands of motherhood.
She has said: “I think breast-feeding helped, and running up and down stairs all day.”
But her shrinking frame is likely to disappoint admirers – including fiancé Graham ‘Gray’ Quinn – who have celebrated her shapely physique.
Myleene said recently: “Gray hates it when I get too thin, he calls me Boney M.”
